The Center for Nuclear Fuel Technology (PTBBN) is one of the work units in the National Nuclear Energy Agency (BATAN) under the Deputy for Nuclear Energy Technology (TEN), formed based on Decision of the President No. 46 year 2013 which is further differentiated in Regulation of the Head of BATAN No. 14 Year 2013 regarding the Organization and Work Procedures of BATAN.
Background
In accordance to Regulation of the Head of BATAN No. 14 Year 2013, PTBBN has the duty to conduct formulation and control of technical policies, implementation, and guidance and fostering in the field of development of nuclear fuel fabrication technology and radio-metallurgy testing technique. To conduct the duty, PTBBN conducts the functions as follows:

  1. Implementation of planning affairs, letter administration and archives, employee administration, finance, logistics and household, scientific documentation and publication as well as reporting;
  2. Implementation in development of nuclear fuel fabrication technology;
  3. Implementation in development of radio-metallurgy testing technique;
  4. Implementation in development and management of nuclear fuel facility;
  5. Implementation in monitoring work safety and accountancy of nuclear material;
  6. Implementation of quality assurance;
  7. Implementation of nuclear security; and
  8. Implementation of other duties which are given by the Deputy for Nuclear Energy Technology.
